Product Overview

The Ecovacs WINBOT mini 2 is the compact member of the family, built for smaller panes and tight frames. It measures just 215×215×55mm — noticeably smaller and thinner than the full-size W3 — which lets it slip onto narrow roof windows, transom lights and small atrium panes where a 270mm disc simply will not fit or will rock against the frame. It is a corded unit with the same framed/frameless handling, a washable cloth and a safety clip included. The smaller footprint is the whole point: this is the robot you reach for when the glass area is short but the drop behind it is not.

Core Technologies & Safety

The mini 2 carries a five-mode planner — deep, fast, fine, spot, edge and remote — rather than the eight modes of the larger units. It still detects frameless glass edges and ramps suction accordingly, and the safety clip remains the last line of defence. On small panes the edge modes do more of the work, because a compact disc has proportionally more of its path near the frame; the robot follows the perimeter first and then cuts across. The remote mode is what you use on the roof windows that sit behind casements or vents, where no automated path can be trusted.

Key Advantages

The mini 2 is the right buy for a house with a few awkward small skylights or roof lights and no interest in cleaning the whole south elevation. It stores in a cupboard, sets up in seconds and will not foul a narrow frame the way a big disc does. The honest trade-off is coverage and speed — smaller body, smaller cloth, more passes needed on a big pane, so it is the wrong tool for a large glass conservatory roof. And as with any corded window robot, run an extension lead before you buy if your only outlet is indoors.
