Product Overview

The Hutt DDC55 Pro is a cordless window and skylight cleaning robot from Hutt (赫特), a Chinese manufacturer that has been building window-cleaning machines since the early 2010s. Its 14.1cm body is deliberately narrow so it slots onto slim and small panes that a round disc cannot cover, and a dual-motor rotary twist-scrub head sets it apart from the single-cloth robots that simply drag a pad across the glass. Suction is rated at 5400Pa, held on the surface by a 3D floating chassis that presses the cleaning plate evenly against the glass even where the surface is not perfectly flat. It runs on battery rather than a tether, so there is no cord to manage as it moves across a roof pane or a tall fixed window.

Core Technologies & Safety

The 3D floating chassis is the part that matters on real glass. On a framed skylight the pane, the rubber seal and the aluminium frame sit at slightly different heights, and a rigid vacuum base loses grip at the boundary. Hutt’s floating plate is sprung so it keeps continuous contact and the 55N of applied pressure is spread across the whole cleaning pad, which both improves the scrub and reduces the point loads that cause a robot to slip at a frame edge. Edge detection cuts suction at the boundary so the DDC55 Pro stops rather than driving off the pane, and the rotary twist-scrub pairs two counter-rotating pads: one breaks the film of dust, the other lifts it, which is why it handles rain-spotting and pollen better than a single-pass wipe.

Key Advantages

The case for the DDC55 Pro is the narrow body and the wet scrub together. If you have slim casement lights, narrow roof glazing or a home where the panes are smaller than a standard square robot expects, a wide machine either will not fit or wastes most of its suction holding a pad that overhangs the frame. At 14.1cm the Hutt gets onto those panes, and the twist-scrub gives a genuine wet clean rather than a dry polish. Being cordless means you can carry it up a ladder, set it on a skylight and let it work without finding a socket on the roof. The honest limits are battery runtime between recharges on long runs and the fact that 5400Pa is strong for a cordless unit but still behind the heaviest corded machines. It is a flexible single-operator tool for awkward, small and overhead glass, not a high-volume fleet machine.
