Product Overview

The Ecovacs WINBOT W2S PLUS is the station-edition window cleaning robot in Ecovacs’ line, aimed at owners with several skylights or a glass conservatory roof. The robot itself measures 272×272×76mm and weighs 2.1kg (±0.1kg); the base station measures 312×215×327mm and weighs 5kg (±0.2kg), with the retail carton at 380×297×406mm. It runs on a tethered power adapter with a 1.2m lead, so it never runs out of charge mid-pane. Like its stablemate it handles both framed and frameless glass from 30cm upward, and it ships with a washable cleaning cloth and a safety clip.

Core Technologies & Safety

The W2S PLUS uses the same eight-mode planning stack as the W3 — fast, deep, fine, edge, spot, zone, heavy-dust and remote — plus frameless-edge detection that raises suction near the glass boundary. The heavier base station is the practical upgrade: it holds the cord tension, keeps the robot parked when idle and gives you a fixed anchor point, so the safety line and power lead never tangle on a sloped roof. That matters on pitched skylights, where a loose lead snagging a frame is exactly how a robot ends up hanging by its tether instead of cleaning.

Key Advantages

Buy the W2S PLUS instead of the W3 if your skylights are clustered and you want a permanent home for the machine rather than something you unbox each time. The station turns a chore into a one-minute routine, and the 1.2m tethered lead means no battery-anxiety. It is a poor fit for a single hard-to-reach roof window — you would be paying for a station you barely use — and, like every corded window robot, it needs mains power near the glass. If your roof is framed with deep mullions, budget time for remote mode to nudge it around the obstructions.
